Richard William Petrea, Jr, age 59, of 1025 Lentz Harness Shop Rd, passed away Saturday, September 22,2018. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 PM at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Burial will be 11 AM Thursday at Bethel Bear Creek Reformed Church Cemetery,
William was born November 20, 1959 in Cabarrus County to Richard William Petrea Sr and Kay Cozart Petrea. William was owner and operator of a small engine repair shop for many years and enjoyed talking to people. William was a good man who was never to busy to help a neighbor. William enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and working in his shop. He was a Boy Scout who achieved the level of Eagle Scout.
William was pre-deceased by his mother Kay.
Survivors include his father Richard Petrea of the home, daughter Misty Clay and husband Jason of Rockwell, sister Jane Hyleman and husband Grover and 2 grandchildren.
