Mrs. Carol Eudy Spears, age 75, of Cabarrus Ave. West, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at her home.
Her funeral will be 11 AM Monday, December 3 at Friendship Southern Baptist Church, where she was a member. Officiated by Rev. Jesse Watkins and her son, Rev. Terry Smith. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Sunday, December 2, at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
Carol was born May 5, 1943 in Stanly County to the late Craven D. Eudy and Evelyn Lambert Eudy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Spears, and brothers, Harry and Ronnie Eudy.
Carol was a longtime employee of Cannon Mills and Walgreen Drugs on Concord Parkway. She was also partner in Spears Digging Service. She obtained her college degree (business administration) at the age of 62. She enjoyed yardwork, vintage cars, and Southern gospel music. Her passion was her love for Christ and serving others who needed help. She loved her family and her church family.
Carol is survived by daughters, Susan Furr (John) Sandra Bishop (Kent) Cherie Rodenburgh (Ron) and Wendy Spears; sons, John Spears (Bill Schnieders), Wade Spears (Lisa), Danny Medlin (Sharon) Terry Smith (Kim), and Marvin Carroll (Bonnie); 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; sisters, Jane Eudy and Linda Kinsey; brother Don Eudy (Margaret) and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Friendship Southern Baptist Church, 180 West Ave. SW., Concord, NC 28027.
