Obituary for Anne Measamer
Annette "Anne" Long Measamer, 75, of Concord, NC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Accordius of Concord, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on January 21, 1948, in Concord to the late Dolly and Howard Simpson. Anne was a longtime mail carrier for USPS, but her true passion in life was her family.
Anne was a devoted wife to her late husband, Henry Edward "Eddie" Measamer, and a loving mother to her children, Adrienne Measamer and Henry Edward "Tripp" Measamer, III. She was a doting grandmother to her grandchildren, Leigh Ann Measamer and Anna Linn Russ, and her great-grandchildren, Adam Redman and Noah Zimmerman. Anne had a special bond with each of them and loved nothing more than spending time with them and spoiling them.
Anne was preceded in death by her sister, Angela Lynne Peavy, but is survived by her niece, Susan Lynch, who will always cherish the memories they shared together.
Anne will be remembered for her kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family. She was a pillar in her community, and her selflessness and compassion will never be forgotten. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched during her time on earth.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
