Obituary for Lanny Singleton
Mr. Brooks Landon “Lanny” Singleton, Jr., 78, of Concord, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Carolina Memorial Park, officiated By Rev. Dr. Tom Cabaniss. The family will greet friends following the service.
Lanny was born on February 25, 1945 in Shelby, NC to the late Hazel Conner Singleton and Brooks Landon Singleton, Sr.
Lanny had worked as a Screen Printer for years at Stork, a mechanic at both Sunbelt and Lee Construction, and worked at Piedmont Natural Gas. His favorite pastimes were fishing and golf and he always cherished time spent with his family, especially the grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gail V. Singleton; daughter, Kelly Nash; son, Jeff Singleton; sister, Martha Wilson and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Brandon Nash, Meg Singleton; nephew, Tim Wilson and wife, Cathy.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Cabarrus County for their love and care of Lanny.
