Obituary for Carolyn Wellman (Monroe)
Carolyn Monroe Wellman, 88, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Winston Salem, NC. The daughter of Gilbert Oliver Monroe and Johnnie Morris Monroe, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hale Wellman, Jr., a son, Joel Andrew Wellman, her parents and a sister, Gayle Monroe Foley.
She is survived by a son, Richard Kevin Wellman of Concord, a daughter, Amy Wellman Sanders (Christopher) of Matthews, three grandsons, a brother Charles Ray Monroe (Susan) of Winston Salem, and a sister, Geraldine Monroe Borgman.
The family requests that friends join them for a graveside service and interment at Carolina Memorial Park on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00am. They will speak with friends and family following the service.
