Obituary for Charles Ray "Chuck" Gallagher
Mr. Charles Ray “Chuck” Gallagher, age 73, of Concord, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 31, 2020.
Chuck’s family will receive friends at Wilkinson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5 from 4 to 6 pm. A private memorial service will be held.
Chuck was born November 7, 1946 in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was a son to the late Thomas J. Gallagher, Sr and Clara Duvall Gallagher. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Gallagher, Jr. Chuck served our country in the US Army and was a retiree from General Motors. Chuck enjoyed vacations with his family, spending time with his grandchildren, and watching Notre Dame football. He was a man who will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Elona Swenson Gallagher; daughter, Kerri Gallagher and husband, Don Hogle of Pinehurst; son, Kevin Gallagher and wife, Melissa of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Keegan, Jack, Mackenzie, Macie Rae and Liam Gallagher; brother, John Gallagher and wife, Vickey of Follansbee, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews from coast to coast, and many other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Memorials Processing, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, or the National Pancreatic Cancer Research Foundation, P.O. Box 1848 Longmont, CO 80502, or to Autism Society of America, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 305, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
