Obituary for Costas "Gus" Angels
CONCORD- Costas “Gus” Angels, 74 passed away at home unexpectantly on February 26, 2021.
Adhering to Gus’ wishes there will be no funeral services.
Gus was born on February 13, 1947 in Dutchess County, New York. He was one of three children born to Jack and Connie Chrampanis Angels. Gus graduated in 1965 from Beacon High School where he excelled on the football team. He went on to attend Pace College. He and his family were members of Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church where he married his bride on February 14, 1970. Gus was active in the LaGrange Softball League. In September 2001, Gus and Donna moved to Concord. NC. and became a part of that community.
Mr. Angels is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna Hutchings Angels; daughters, Nikki Angels-Stringer(Christian) of Averill Park, NY, and Beth Angels-Dow of Millerton, NY; sisters, Barbara Phillips and Ann Marie Faust; and grandchildren, Marissa Dow and Kristofer Dow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis TN 38105-9959. Attn. Memorials. Remembering Gus by supporting the children of St. Jude would please him. PLEASE, no flowers, gifts, or planting trees in his memory. Thank you in advance.
