Obituary for Pete Beacham

Mr. Edward Rayvon “Pete” Beacham, 81, of Big Elm in Kannapolis, formerly of 167 Patterson Ave, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cabarrus. Pete had worked at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital for over 20 years.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Park. Pete will lie in state at Wilkinson Funeral Home from 8:00am-2:00pm on Monday prior to the graveside service.

He was born on June 28, 1939 in Concord, NC to the late Fred Edward and Viola Jacobs Beacham. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Theresa and brother, Buddy.

Pete was a mainstay in the city of Concord, most people would drive by and screams Pete’s name out their window as they passed him. He loved to witness the Concord Christmas Parade and take many photos. He also enjoyed pitching horseshoes and even participated in the Special Olympics for bowling, his main passion. Pete never met a stranger and loved to talk to anyone he met.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister, Dianne Gregory; brother. Larry Beacham; niece Rhonda Collins and husband Robert; nephew, Ronnie Gregory and wife Lynette; a number of nieces and nephews; special friends Don and Dianne Ayscue.
