Mr Ed Helms, age 79, of Concord,NC, passed away February 18, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House.
Mr Helms will lie in state at Wilkinson Funeral Home Saturday from 10 AM until 4 PM. A graveside service will be held 3 PM Sunday at West Concord Cemetery. Pastor Doug Withrup will officiate.
Ed was born March 13, 1941 in Cabarrus County to the late Elmer Eugene Helms Sr and Edna Blackwelder Helms. He was co-owner and operator of Helms Brothers Masonry. Ed was a member of Multiply Church (First Assembly) He loved his beagles and was an avid rabbit hunter.
Mr Helms is survived by his wife Mary Allman Helms of Concord, son Eddie Helms and his wife Nisa, brothers Ernest Helms and wife Becky, Bob Helms and wife Brenda, Elmer Helms and wife Alice all of Concord along with a grandson Clint and his wife Sara and 2 great-grandsons Jack and Macon Helms.
