Obituary for Evelyn Louise Wise (Clontz)
Mrs. Evelyn Clontz Wise, 93, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date due to the Covid-19 virus.
Evelyn was born September 18, 1927 in Concord to the late Charles F. Clontz and Eunice Pinion Clontz. She was also preceded in death by her husband Hoyle Kenneth Wise, Sr. in 1987. She retired from Allstate Insurance Company as a regional secretary. Evelyn was a member of Kerr Street Baptist Church where she served as one of the first female Deacons of the church. She enjoyed participating on Volt walks with John and Mary Ann Middleton, reading, and genealogy.
Evelyn is survived by sons Hoyle Kenneth (Ken ) Wise Jr. and Dennis R. Wise both of Concord; grandchildren Jennifer Schell and husband James, Hamilton(HK)Wise, and wife Amber, Jonathan Wise, and Connor Wise; great grandchildren Cade, Rysten, and Brogan Schell, Emerson and Hudson Wise; sister Nancy Williams and Gerald, and nieces Amy Strickland and Maria Hollopeter.
