Obituary for Gary William Strohmeyer
MINT HILL- Gary William Strohmeyer, 65, passed away at Novant Health in Mint Hill on March 9, 2023.
There will be a private gathering to celebrate Gary’s life.
Gary was born in Brownsville, Texas on December 1, 1957. In his early years, his family moved around the country with his father’s job at Pan American Airlines and eventually settled down in Charlotte where he graduated from Independence High School in 1976. Gary enjoyed homelife and loved his sisters. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Ray and Gwendolyn Hare Strohmeyer.
Mr. Strohmeyer is survived by his four sisters, Lynda Joyner(Bobby) of Locust, Shelia Bolin(Tommy) of Charlotte, Gayle Wylie of Mint Hill, and Trish Weems(Mike) of Albemarle; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Atrium Health Foundation, LCI Patient Special Needs Fund, 208 East Blvd., Charlotte NC 28203 to assist cancer patients locally.
