Obituary for Ruth Morgan Sherrill
Mrs. Iris “Ruth” Morgan Sherrill, 86, of Stanfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at West Concord Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Steve Pennington. The family will greet friends following the service.
Ruth was born on July 16, 1934 in Concord to the late Soloman and Nessie Helms Morgan. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Eugene “Sonny” Sherrill; a number of brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Sells; sons, Randy Eugene Sherrill, Jr., Jeffrey Lynn Sherrill, and Terry Scott Sherrill; sisters, Sybil Smith, Helen Talbert; 7 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
