Mr. James Edward “Jimmy” Honeycutt, Sr. age 81, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 26 from 12-1 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A service will follow in the chapel at 1 pm with Pastor Gene Beaver officiating. Burial will be held at New Gilead Reformed Church Cemetery.

He was also preceded in death by a wife, Shirley Faulkenberry, step-son, Robin Faulkenberry, an infant daughter, Mary Frances Honeycutt, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Jimmy loved working in his flowers, mowing and gardening. There was always ample bounty to share with his family and friends. He attended Cross Point Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Ann Patterson Honeycutt; sons, James E. Honeycutt, “Jr.” and wife, Beth of Hickory, Jeff Honeycutt and wife, Margaret, and Darrell Honeycutt and wife, Diana, all of Concord; step-sons, John Tidwell and wife, Christy and Robert Tidwell and wife, Mariah, all of Buford, GA; sister, Patsy Waters, brother, Arnold Honeycutt; a number of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of loving relatives, and his canine buddy, Zac, who will miss Jimmy dearly.

The family would like to thank the staff at Atrium Health Cabarrus and Tucker Hospice House for all their care and compassion given to Jimmy and his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tucker Hospice House, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
