Obituary for Jaquelinne Salazar
Ms. Jaquelinne Salazar, 23, of Winston Salem passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday, March 16, 2020 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jerome Chavarria officiating. She will be laid to rest in St. James Catholic Church cemetery following the service.
She was born on July 9, 1996 to Abel Salazar and Nora (Ojeda) Bauer in San Diego County, California.
Her proudest moments were winning the NCCAA Regional tournament for women’s soccer in 2016, achieving her bachelor’s degree in biblical studies with a concentration on family counseling, receiving her QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) certificate, and receiving two promotions (supervisor to manager) at Timber Ridge Treatment Center consecutively.
Her passions were loving her family, having fun with friends, soccer and softball, convincing others to do that crazy thing they were debating on doing, and loving above all. If you knew Jacky, you had a friend.
Jacky was the friend who would listen to you while everyone talked around you, the one who would drive you to get your favorite food at 3am, even if she had to work the next morning. Her selfless love and fun spirit made her everyone’s favorite person. And she would make you laugh, too.
Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Nora Bauer and father, Abel Salazar; step-father, Nathan Bauer; sisters, Norisbel, Gabby, and Crystal Salazar; step-brother, Leandro Bauer; and a host of aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
Her faith in the Lord was unshakable, for she knew His love. And His love carried her and her family through a multitude of mountains and valleys. She is helping the Lord prepare our rooms now, and we can’t wait to see her again. Rest easy, Jacky. Well done.
