Obituary for John Con Teeter III
Mr. John Con Teeter III, of Concord, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday at All Saints Episcopal Church officiated by Rev. Nancy Cox. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Living Room.
John was born in Concord to the late John C. Teeter, Jr. and Eula Frances Little Teeter. He graduated from Stanly High School and later from N.C. State University. While at State, he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
John lived in Greensboro for many years working as a stockbroker before shifting to the mortgage industry in the 1990’s. He was a member of the Greensboro Country Club for many years and could often be found in the men’s lounge playing cards and watching State frequently snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. He moved to Cabarrus County in 2007 to care for his ailing parents, met Dorothy and ended up making the area home.
John is survived by wife Dorothy Morris Teeter, son J. Matthews “Matt” Teeter and wife Charlotte of Sterling, VA; grandson Andrew Teeter; stepdaughters Elizabeth Inman of Clayton, NC and Emily Trammell of Charlotte, NC and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, 525 Lake Concord Rd.NE, Concord, NC 28025.
