Obituary for Joyce Hall Bentley (Propst)
Mrs. Joyce Propst Bentley passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at Morningside of Concord.
A private family service will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel of Carolina Memorial Park.
Joyce was born April 1, 1923 in Concord to the late Floyd W. Propst and Hattie Hall Propst. She was also preceded in death by husband of 64 years Arthur “Art” E. Bentley, sister Jessie Kiser, and brother Ronald Propst. Joyce was retired office manager from Cabarrus Clinic for Women. Prior to that, she worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation during World War II. Joyce was a member of First Baptist Church, and enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, and preparing Christmas Eve dinners for family and friends.
Joyce is survived by daughter Carol E. Bentley; granddaughter Leila B. McMillan; great grandchildren J.D. and Olivia Mc Millan; and other extended family members.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Morningside of Concord and Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for their loving care for Joyce over her last years.
