Obituary for Katherine Effie Mason (Edgison)
Mrs. Katherine Mason, 88, passed away on Sunday February 23, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus, surrounded by her family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service.
Katherine was born on October 18, 1931 in Cabarrus County to the late Shirley Aubrey and Dollie Salena Wilkinson Edgison. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Mason. Katherine was a lover of all animals and enjoyed going to church at the Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Terrie Swaringen and husband David; son, Rick Mason and wife Lana; grandchildren, David Swaringen II and wife Jamie, Sharon Mason, Marty Mason; great-grandchildren, Mason and Michael Swaringen; beloved beagle, Max.
