My heart joins your hearts as you grieve your father’s absence. He was a man of caliber that I met in 1978 when I opened my hair salon and our friendship grew over the next 40 years as we weathered all the political change in our line of work. We laughed together - you know how he loved to laugh and sometimes we cried together and he will always be a treasure to my heart. You knew him as daddy and I knew him as friend but we both knew him as a man that loved God and family. He kept me posted on the status of not just you his children but also those precious grandchildren. He was so proud of you all !! My prayer will be that your sweet memories outnumber your tears as you journey this thing called grief.

Chick was a kind, humorous, and wonderful Christian man and mentor whom I deeply appreciated and respected. He always brought smiles and laughter wherever he went. God bless you all as you mourn this loss.
