CONCORD- Nancy Mullis Brown, 71, passed away at Atrium Cabarrus on February 15, 2020.

A 2:30pm Monday graveside service will be held at West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1-2pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home.

Nancy was born in Union Co. to Clingmon Lee and Margaret Elizabeth Hooks Mullis on June 1, 1948. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a good cook. She also enjoyed traveling, going to races, fishing and hunting. She was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Rose Honeycutt, Ellen Irene Clontz, Brenda Sue Kiker, Diane E. McCrary, and Carolyn Tucker; and grandson, Drew Haines; and a great grandson, Jeffrey Hooks Jr.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband of 35 years, Wistle “Harry” Brown Jr; daughter, Angela Denise Myers(Carroll “Hooney”); sons, Michael Eugene Hooks(Jennifer), Robert “Frankie” Hooks(Marcia); stepsons, Roger Dishman and Jimmy Dishman; sisters, Rhonda Kay Foushee, Wanda Fay Rayfield, Jeanette Anderson, and Annette Rhinehardt; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Aaron, and Lindsey Hooks, Elizabeth Betterton, Shane, Blake, and Blain Hooks, Brandon Haines, Troy, Aaron, Casie, and Jeffrey Dishman, Kristopher and Alex Suptela, and great grandchildren, Alexa, Layla, Abel, and Ryder.

I just want to send my love and condolences to the family.I will miss Nancy terribly, she was such a good woman and like a mama to me. She was a joy to be around and we had such good times at the shop. I can honestly say she loved her family so much. She only wanted them to be happy.Ill miss those crazy and funny stories she used to tell me. One thing about Nancy , shell tell you the truth. I loved her and I sure will miss her. May God Bless the family.You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I loved talking with Nancy...she told the best stories about Harry, her children.
She loved you all very much.
She helped me feed an entire football team. She was an awesome woman.
I’m going to miss her.......
