Obituary for Beatrice Mantooth
Mrs. Beatrice Fisher Mantooth of Concord, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Tucker Hospice House.
Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Brandon Gray. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
Beatrice was born November 4, 1932 in Mecklenburg County to the late Elby Brevard Fisher and Bessie Jane Watkins Fisher. She was also preceded in death by husband George E. Mantooth, son Glenn E. Mantooth, and granddaughter Brandi Mantooth.
Beatrice grew up in the Newell community and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. She was employed by Dennis Carpenter Mustangs.
Beatrice is survived by daughters, Norma Sue “Susie" Mantooth and Ima Jean Mantooth, and son, Elby “Frankie” Mantooth; grandchildren, Brandon and Barbi Mantooth; great grandchild, Kieran Mantooth-Collins; daughter-in-law, “Hoppie” Mantooth; sisters, Mildred Fisher and Virginia McCorkle; and a number of nieces and nephews.
