I met Mr Ray taking my mother in law to him for many years. Such a nice man and one day when sitting "under the dryers" waiting on her I sat beside Mr. Burrage (dressed to the nines and had to be 80+) who was waiting on his wife as well. I struck up a conversation and we talked about 10 minutes then all of a sudden he said "I've got to move, my wife will be mad that I'm talking to you " and moved several seats away, Ray looked over at me and we both smiled.....Great man!

Ray was a sweet and loving man . My mother loved both he and Peggy so much and appreciated their friendship as did I . He was a talented man and a great family man. My heart goes out to all his family.

I have known Mr.Faggart for most of my life. Starting when I was about 4-5 years old, the Saturday morning ritual for my Aunt, Helen Sloop, and I was to get her hair done at "Ray's" and then go to the Food Center for groceries, maybe stopping at the cleaners to pick up clothes. As late as 2010, I took my dad, Charlie Sloop, to have Ray give him a haircut. He cut my hair too, The price was about $10 or less!!! We had a great time talking with Mr. Faggert and getting "cleaned up" for Sunday. My sincere condolences and prayers for the family and friends of one of Concord's icons of my youth. Blessings, Chip Sloop
