Obituary for Phyllis Ann Ledford (Joyner)
Mrs. Phyllis Ann Joyner Ledford passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday at First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. James Collier. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 PM Saturday in the church sanctuary. A private burial precedes the memorial service.
Phyllis was born August 4, 1928 in Concord to the late Pemberton Jackson Joyner and Louise Medlin Joyner. She was also preceded in death by husband William Caldwell Ledford in 1986. Phyllis graduated from Concord High School in 1946 and attended Lenoir-Rhyne College. She came back to Concord and was employed at Belk’s as a bookkeeper. Phyllis was a life-long member of First Baptist Church.
Phyllis is survived by daughter Judy L. Wilhelm and husband Stan of Concord, and son Terry Ledford and wife Vee of Little River, SC; grandchildren Matt Wilhelm, Andy Wilhelm, and Wray Ledford; great grandchildren Ian, Erin, and Cayleigh; and other extended family members.
