Obituary for Richard Arthur Benz
Richard Arthur Benz passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2021 in Concord, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm, on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at St. James Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Tony Bradshaw. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium with Military Honors by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
Richard was born August 29, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN.
Richard was a 1953 graduate of the United States Military Academy. He served his country during the Korean Conflict. Richard had a long successful career in the Aerospace business. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved gardening. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Judith, sons, Paul Benz, and Mark Benz and wife Emily, and five grandchildren.
Devoted husband, father, grandfather. He will be missed by his family, many friends and classmates.
