Obituary for Ronnie Waters
Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Waters, 68 of Concord, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 with his family by his side.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 5 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm at Carolina Memorial Park, with Pastors, Sammy Pierce and Robert Leonard officiating.
Ronnie was born September 8, 1952 in Waynesville Co, NC, a son of Sue Sherrill Waters of Concord and the late Alonzo Jackson Waters.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen Riehs Waters, of Kannapolis, and two children, Brian Heath Waters and wife Phoenix of Leland, NC and Chelsea Paige Waters and husband, Tim Geissler, of Charlotte, NC. In addition, Ronnie was blessed with six grandchildren, Aidan Jack, Griffin Arthur, Anderson Heath and Winston David Waters of Leland, Olivia Riehs and Timothy George Geissler of Charlotte. He is also survived by one brother, James Carroll Waters and wife Kathy, and two sisters, Jackie Waters Renfro, and Sheryle Waters Brown and husband James. Left to cherish his memory are many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, 205 Regency Executive Park Drive, Suite 102, Charlotte, NC 28217
